The McGowan Government has welcomed Talison’s plans to create 750 permanent jobs at our Greenbushes Lithium Operation in the South West to meet the growing demand for Western Australian lithium, which is a crucial element in enabling the global clean energy transition.

Talison has partnered with the Blackwood Basin Group to fund the installation of 16 nesting boxes for birdlife at Schwenke's Dam and surrounding community walk trails. The boxes were built by local community shed groups and will provide additional safe nesting sites for a variety of bird species, while data collection and monitoring by the Blackwood Basin Group will complement existing cockatoo breeding tubes and floating islands in the area.

Six trainees who have spent almost a year at the Greenbushes Lithium Operation are now ready to progress in their careers. With qualifications in laboratory, administration, major projects, WHS&T, stores and logistics, and environment, they have gained valuable insight into the resources sector and the diverse career opportunities available within it.
